Brad Watkins was driving by a daycare during a down poor when he noticed a police officer working the scene.

He thought something bad had happened. He then grabbed his phone and started filming.

What he caught on camera was quite the opposite of the normal police activity caught on film, this time it was actually heartening.

Chesterfield County police officer Michael Green was picking up children, sometimes a few at time and carrying them over flood waters.

This was hardly a publicity stunt as Green had no idea he was being filmed at the time of this somewhat chivalrous effort.

Attention Police: THIS is what people want from you; not harassment, not shakedowns for pot, not brutality at traffic stops, not a shot dog, just a community servant who’s out there to help folks in need.

Thank you Officer Green for being an example for other police officers to follow.
