“You had an ice cream cone you tried to kill me with. That will stand up in a court of law. There’s not a court in the land that would convict me for blowing your head off!”

Harassing innocent people based on the color of their skin is not in the interest of freedom. A system of kidnapping people, locking them in cages, and murdering them for possessing a plant is also NOT in the interest of a free society.

In a Letter to Étienne Noël Damilaville, May 16, 1767, Voltaire wrote, “I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: Oh Lord, make my enemies ridiculous. And God granted it.”

The American police state is ridiculous. While the individual people are largely irrelevant that make up the police state, the systemic growth of a militarized occupying force is an enemy of free people.

The use of satire to point out this ridiculousness can open the eyes of people who may otherwise not be paying attention. The guys at funny or die have recently created a video that sums up the progression of the militarization of police as well as the ridiculousness of the racial profiling.

This is pure gold. Enjoy, and share.
