“Each Cop Wanted to Rip a Limb Off of Him” — Video Shows Cops Violently Arrest Compliant Man

Royal Oak, MI — Royal Oak police were caught on video on St. Patrick’s Day outside of BlackFinn Ameripub in Michigan last week in a clear and cut case of excessive force.

The video was uploaded to Facebook over the weekend and has sparked controversy and a response from the Royal Oak police department. The man who took the video described the chaotic scene saying, “Looks like each cop wanted to rip a limb off of him!”

According to police, the 25-year-old man was allegedly involved in an altercation inside the pub.

“This individual was observed fighting with other patrons in the bar,” Lt. Dave Clemens said.

Even if this man had been involved in an altercation inside the pub, when the video starts, he is standing there with his hands behind his back and not posing a threat or even resisting in any way. However, that does not keep him safe from the multiple cops who seemingly wanted to tear him in half.

As the man is standing there with his arms behind his back, multiple cops jump on him, one grabbing him by the neck and they begin pulling him in different directions. The officers were so brutally careless that they threw the man on top of one of their own and at that point in the video, we hear an officer yell, “Taser.”

They then taser the man for simply attempting to avoid having his face smashed into the pavement. However, even after they had him face down and cuffed, officers still felt it necessary to kneel on the man’s face, driving it into the sidewalk.

Instead of decrying the overt excessive force by his officers, Clemens commended them.

“It was a very chaotic situation,” Clemens said. “They did the best they could under those conditions to take this person into custody.”

The 25-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

“At this point, preliminarily, there doesn’t appear to be any misconduct by officers,” Clemmons said.

Below is the video. Let us know in the comments what you think. Were these officers doing “the best they could”?

Lol….probably is the best they could do…….so fire mayor and police chief that can encourage and teach a tad bit better…….just a thought…..and thoughts are still currently free

  • CodyD313

This is clear video evidence of police brutality!

  • Fred

Are you telling me they got away with it.

    • Jonathan Mckeever

Worse. They were commended for it.

  • David Fischer

The tricks cops use to inflict punishment on a handcuffed victim. With knees in his chest and pushing and pulling in opposite directions and slamming them to the ground, all unnecessary for the purpose of an arrest, just pre trial punishment by a bunch of baboons with badges.

  • Ricky Deyo

i say time to start taking cops guns and shoting them with there own guns it’s tiem to start killing cop . Mr. Obama told me to tell every american that it is tiem to start shoting cops

  • Mike Noway

Just a question, but……why didn’t they just handcuff the guy while he was standing up in the beginning? His hands were behind his back until the one of the officers grabbed his neck and swung him around.

    Does not compute.

    • Bill Wingard

Cops don’t like doing things the ‘easy’ way. They prefer to humiliate or physically damage their victim, that way they think they will be remembered for next time.

    • Jonathan Mckeever

Simple. They get their rocks off on manhandling people because they can. It really doesn’t take a dozen cops to arrest one person who isn’t even trying to fight back.

  • Russell Smith

And once again the tax paying suckers get to foot the bill for thuggery with badges.

  • Ron Healey

I got shit on all over Liveleak for saying the guy could have easily been cuffed without violence as he was totally calm and not resisting at all. Even when they attempted to put him in a headlock, choke him out, and pull his limbs off, he did nothing more than try and maintain his balance. Nobody agreed with me at all, LOL. Fuck em’

This is police brutality, nothing but a bunch of thugs in blue. One asshole cop just kept saying fuck this and fuck that. That poor guy did not stand a chance. He was standing there with his hands behind his back waiting for the cops to cuff him. Scumbags charged him with resisting and they were the only ones trying to pull him apart and then kneed him by that fat fuck. All cops in this whole Nation is totally out of control. They are all control freaks. I hope kills all of them.

  • Cam Alft

the hipsters sure don’t like their friend getting arrested did they….hmm…so now maybe they will understand why other groups always say cops are scum bottom feeding criminals and should be in prison…………

  • Jynxster

Obviously these cops haven’t gotten the message yet. Hey you power hungry thug cops, haven’t you noticed that your Brothers in Blue are being targeted all across the nation? Don’t you think this kind of behavior is certainly a big reason WHY you’re being targeted? You need to stop this kind of abusive behavior.

    Enough is enough!
