vaxxers

The Boston Herald is one of the oldest newspapers in the United States. It has won eight Pulitzer Prizes since its founding in 1846 and was named one of the “10 Newspapers That ‘Do It Right'” in 2012 by Editor & Publisher. And, the media outlet, which is also a former arm of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, just said that anti-vaxxers should be hanged — seriously.

In an editorial last week, titled: Preying on parents’ fear, the Boston Herald verbally lambasted those who question the safety of vaccines and then took it one step further — calling for their execution.

Before dismissing this article as some ‘anti-vaxxer conspiracy theory,’ it is important to note that the Free Thought Project takes no stand on the issue and believe it is the individual’s right and responsibility to decide what medicines they can and cannot put into their body. We are not anti-vaccine by any means — only pro-safety.

Every human being has the right to informed about any medical procedure or intervention on ourselves or our children, and we have the right to consent or not consent to that intervention.

Advertisment

The above statement is not some conspiracy theory, it is what a free society does. However, the Boston Herald disagrees with this assertion of one’s medical rights and has called for the violent punishment of those who choose to assert them.

After the Herald’s “editorial staff” bashes people for simply talking about the potential dangers of vaccines — and claiming, without providing evidence, that these people caused a massive measles outbreak — they called for physical violence against those people.

Vaccines don’t cause autism. Measles can kill. And lying to vulnerable people about the health and safety of their children ought to be a hanging offense.

If a doctor lies to patients and causes grave harm by doing so, that doctor is liable for malpractice. This doctor can be the sole cause of a child’s suffering and eventual death, and, yet, their punishment would still not be the death penalty.

While basing medical decisions on hearsay or false information gleaned online is a terrible decision, the idea of executing those who put it out is as insane as it is tyrannical.

This newspaper called for the execution of those who it considers liars — because they question vaccine safety. But, was anyone arrested or otherwise warned? No. Did the paper even issue a retraction or apology? No.

In fact, the article is still very live and very read on its website and no one is calling them out for it. Well, we have to point it out.

Imagine for a moment if these roles were reversed and some ‘anti-vaxxer’ called for the execution of vaccine proponents using a massive forum such as the Boston Herald. For starters, that person would be immediately fired, the paper would issue an apology and retraction, and they could be looking possible charges. However, that is clearly not the case in this instance.

Sadly, these calls for violence or action against those who simply question the paradigm are not isolated. In a similar manner, just two months ago, the magazine Scientific American published an article by Peter Hotez, MD of Texas Children’s Hospital, who called for the ‘snuffing out’ of people who question vaccines.

An American antivaccine movement is building and we need to take steps now to snuff it out.

Before that, USA Today published an article by Alex Berezow advocating that “anti-vax” parents be imprisoned.

Unfortunately, more states are proposing and passing laws designed to chip away at informed consent. The right on an individual to do with their own body as they see fit is slowly being degraded — one piece of legislation at a time.

Thinking that the state — given its fallible, brutal, and outright criminal history — can make and mandate medical decisions that will be forced on everyone, is sheer insanity.

Yes, vaccines were a major breakthrough for society, but this breakthrough happened voluntarily.

If you truly want a dystopian future, in which state-run medical programs are forced onto you and your children regardless of your opposition and those who object are punished or executed, then keep advocating for state mandates.

Until then, educate yourself by sifting through the lies by the ardent anti-vaxxers as well as the staunch and heavily subsidized medical industrial complex pro-vaxxers. The answer to better human health, as with most things, likely lies somewhere in the middle.

Jeeeeezus – this is taking things too far, now. I’m the first one to jump up and rebuke anti-vaxxer twats, but I just make jokes about them being slapped and sterilized. I don’t even support putting them in jail when their kids catch the measles, so FUCK anyone who’s seriously talking – or even joking – about hanging people over a silly thing like that!

On the other hand, this is an editorial which traditionally has ALWAYS been understood to mean “some goober’s opinion.” That being said, the Boston Herald made a choice to promote this goober’s opinion, so the internet will dispense its merciless brand of judgment.

    • Dan Quixoté

That wasn’t just “some goober’s opinion”, that was the opinion of the Herald’s editorial staff – specifically Editorial Page Editor Rachelle Cohen and her Deputy Editor, Julie Mehegan, at the very least, if people are curious about names. Possibly also one or more of Executive Editor John Strahinich, Editor-In-Chief Joe Sciacca, Deputy Managing Editor Jennifer Miller, and Op-Ed Columnist Howie Carr. I’ve omitted the other department editors since I doubt they care.

You’re the fucking twat! Why don’t you educate yourself about vaccines you fucking pharma whore. I’m starting to think you are a fucking troll.

I’m guessing you’ve not seen any of these? A multitude of high level professionals heavily documented in all of these docu-series. It’s always good to see the other side of the coin.

The office of Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey, apparently thinks this was OK for a newspaper to publicly call for lynching people – http://www.naturalnews.com/2017-05-16-massachusetts-attorney-general-says-its-okay-for-mainstream-media-to-publish-death-threats-against-anti-vaxxers.html

Crazy, isn’t it? I wonder what moral and legal responsibility to the nation Massachusetts has once it’s learned a national threat was made, and is an action to incite civil war?

  • Di

the conservatives are in control now and it is my opinion that they advocate no government interference in their lives so why is this being mandated? anyone who is over 65 knows that with the appearance of vaccines in the late 60’s autism started growing because of the extras put in them and that includes others. as a child no one had heard of autism! neither party gives a hoot about the people and it is obvious.. it appears to be a depopulation agenda of sorts giving the medical industry a shot but not the one you might think. we are considered now by many european countries to be a police state so with zombie-like people it will occur. the water, air, food is contaminated causing mental confusion. it is pitiful how people fuss amongst themselves over a party while the 1 percent take away the country. ever notice how the msm never uses words starting with the letter ‘u’ because it is symbolic of unity and union for example. unit folks because with positive thoughts and unity the world leaders will fall.

    • Damiana

Anyone who believes in critical thinking skills might consider the possibility that autism is “on the rise” simply because we know what it is now and have better methods of diagnosing the condition nowadays. I suspect there were JUST as many autistic people in the past – they were simply labeled as “retards” and “lunatics.”

      • Di

totally false..am up in years and NO one had ever heard of autism in the 50’s and cancer was known but was rare. no one is a critical thinker because from birth we have been brainwashed. up to age 6 one is in consciousness and then the subconscious takes over which is a tape recorder of programming. retards had medical names in the 40’s and 50’s such as borderline defectives etc but these children did not have autism because their behavior was different. ever use that critical thinking to acknowledge that the amish do not get autism and look up what is really in these shots..such as themerisol or mercury.

If the Measles vaccine works, then those vaccinated have nothing to worry about as they are protected.

    • Abundantz

The measles vaccine, in adult life, shows up responsible for two forms of cancer (one is skin), and is also now linked to Parkinson’s. It is by actually having measles that one is protected. If the virus is not permitted to leave the body via the skin eruptions — exposure to air killing them — the virus remains in the body for a lifetime, confusing the immune system.

Israel vaccines for kids 18 / US california 30! Hmmmmmmmmm. Who is trying to kill whom or at least make them dumbed down..

  • Candice White

We the other people have the right not to have our children infected by these anti vaxxers keep your kids at home if you dont want to vaccinate them and yes lying Freethought it has been proven this outbreak was caused by idiots like you.

    • junktex

If the vaccines work you have nothing to worry about.lol

And i say all who harm the children, with their sex organs, or with a syringe loaded with a witches brew of cancer causing chemicals, cancer cells, heavy metals, should be given a fair trail in an impartial court, and a fair hanging. This includes zionist yankee war criminals “newspaper” owners, editors and other assorted criminals in the organization.

Matt, referring to your comment, “educate yourself by sifting through lies by the ardent anti-vaxxers,” could you help us with some URLs of articles or videos that you find contain lies, or give us an idea on the nature of those lies?

We’re lacking in availability of accurate data, so any further input you could provide would be much appreciated.

As a concerned person not in the medical field, I’ve critically studied sources, i.e. the VAERS data that was intended to be a valuable source. Instead, its data is insufficient to really gain clear understanding, although, yes!, clear warnings, as the VAERS site itself explains that it is likely only 10% of vaccine injuries are actually reported to the VAERS database.

Also, regarding the three fairly recent docu-series on vaccines, “VAXXED,” “The Truth About Vaccines,” and “Vaccines Revealed,” combined they sure are a lot of viewing time hours, so if you had a chance to catch any part of them, I’d certainly appreciate any insights you may have gained, particularly regarding any possible misleading, if any.

Thanks for all you offer to Humanity, Matt, and wholly agree with your emphasis on educating ourselves on this life-threatening issue. Re vaccines, informed consent — or informed rejection — is an absolute MUST.
