Apparently the Denver Police Department is getting bored now that it is much harder to bust people for pot.

According to their facebook page they’ve kept the city of Denver safe by busting an evil man, who’d dare sell fireworks to willing customers.

Yesterday, thanks to a tip from a watchful citizen, Denver Police District 4 officers were able to keep a car full of dangerous fireworks off the streets.

The victim….ahem….suspect, was 51-year-old Vincent Martinez. The “watchful citizen” aka police state worshiping sheep,  remains anonymous. Apparently they didn’t want to bask in the heroic glory of snitching on a man for selling fireworks.

According to Denver police the man had distributed his business card to several establishments in the area, offering to sell and deliver the fireworks.

Denver PD then turned to their narcotics department, who’ve apparently been twiddling their thumbs for the last year or so, unable to smash the heads of the horrible people who’d dare posses and ingest a plant.

The narcotics department setup an elaborate undercover operation to catch this villainous threat to freedom.

After receiving a tip, District 4 Narcotics Unit officers devised an undercover plan to contact the suspect. Martinez agreed to meet the undercover officers, and was placed into custody after conducting a sale of the illegal fireworks. A significant amount of fireworks were recovered, and Martinez was cited for possessing and distributing fireworks.

These cops must be going through drug bust withdrawals, as their photos bare a striking resemblance to those of pot busts.

Thanks for keeping the City of Denver safe! Tax payers will be happy to know that they are funding these ridiculous “sting operations” just so Denver PD can have something to do.

Feel free to thank the Denver PD on their facebook page for catching all these murderers and rapists…oh wait….firecracker salesmen.
