Greece, NY — A disturbing video was uploaded to Facebook this week showing multiple Greece police officers seemingly take pleasure in beating and tasering a single non-violent man. The incident was captured on video, however, the woman filming was arrested for the mere act of recording cops.

According to Tabitha Deager, the woman filming, she was sitting on her porch when a Greece Police officer stopped in front of her house and approached her friend, John Walls Jr. Police apparently had an outstanding warrant for Walls arrest.

As the video begins, two cops have Walls on the ground and have already tasered him. He is screaming in agony that he cannot move his arms. Instead of attempting to de-escalate the situation, the two officers seem to take pleasure in continuing their assault.

While Walls was refusing to put his hands behind his back, he was most assuredly not violent, which makes the disturbing scene that unfolded that much more unjustified.

As the violence continues, more officers show up and illustrate their incompetence. The video below is both pathetic and disturbing as officers failed to simply pull a non-violent man’s arms behind his back — instead simply resorting to tasers, knees, and fists.

At one point in the video, a truck drives by yelling, “Shoot him!” clearly illustrating at least a portion of society’s depravity and blind acceptance of the police state.

Finally, after the four officers beat the man to the point of exhaustion, and the female officer throws in a barrage of knee blows for good measure, they cuff him — turning their attention to the innocent woman filming.

Police then proceed to berate Deager, forcing her to stop filming.

“They clearly didn’t like that I was video recording them abusing him like they did,” Drager told independent journalist Davy V in a phone interview.

As Deager walked back up on her own front porch, police then arrested her too — for filming. She was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, a blanket charge typically used by officers who are angered that their brutal acts were just caught on camera.

Below is a perfect illustration of police incompetence ending in violent escalation.
