Elizabeth Ritter was shot four times with rubber bullets by police while she was protesting a Free Trade Summit in Miami.
This horrifying example truly shows the disconnect between police and the citizens they pose as protecting and serving.
These police actually laugh at their victims, in spite of news cameras and hundreds of witnesses of which they were certainly aware. Arrogant and unchecked power now threatens to be the norm for ever-increasing riot police.
While this video is almost 8 years old it is more relevant now than ever as the trend of police violence escalates unchecked.
We saw the same arrogant jackboot mentality in January of this year after two Fullerton California Cops were acquitted for the murder of Kelly Thomas.
A Fullerton resident who was arrested after protesting the acquittal of the officers involved in the death of Kelly Thomas said police laughed and joked about having a license to kill while asserting, “There’s a pack of 12 cops waiting to smash your fucking faces in.”
As long as the institution remains, the corruption and abuse will remain. It is time to imagine a post police world.

Winning this battle is as simple as choosing to abstain from the violent corrupt old system and participating in the new and peaceful system that hands the power back to the people. DASH is this system.
