Not that the police fail to provide us with examples of their incompetence on an almost hourly basis, but witnessing dozens of them all lose control at once is particularly compelling.
This is yet another example of the illusion of authority. Granting other humans, who are as fallible as the next human, the ability to mandate your obedience is a horrible idea from the start.
Had these people been "civilians" on the street, storm troopers in paramilitary riot gear would have been dispatched to dish out some beatings. Instead, this loss of self-control will go unnoticed, the hypocrisy will be written off as a sporting rivalry and the authoritarian class will continue to bring down its boot of oppression.

Unless, we the people expose this violent institution for the liberty removing leviathan that it is. Never be afraid to speak out against tyranny. Never cower in the face of injustice. Never be silenced.
A Sunday hockey game between New York’s police and fire departments devolved into a bench-clearing brawl yesterday at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island. The annual N.Y.P.D., F.D.N.Y. game—which raises money for the Children's Benefit Fund and the New York Police and Fire Widows, among other causes.
