The day after American's celebrate their "independence" from tyrannical governments, reality sets in.

After drinking foreign beers that claim to be American, cooking chicken saturated in antibiotics, raising American flags that are made in China, and popping fireworks produced by slave labor, we need to ask the question, what freedoms do American's really have?

We are under constant surveillance, our every move under a microscope by government goons, "protecting us" from "terrorists."

We are under the constant threat of violence from the state for partaking in substances that the overlords deem "illegal."

We can't drive down the street without being constantly paranoid of those blue and red lights popping up in the rearview mirror that could very well end with a visit to the hospital, or worse.

We would do well as a society, to remember that in order for us to remain free and take back those freedoms that we have lost, we must question this paradigm.

Let us stop chanting, for a moment, that “USA is number one!” and realize the categories in which we ARE actually number one; Prison population, obesity, divorce rate, prescription drug use, hours spent in front of the TV, theft, rape, murder, pornography, and debt.

We still have the freedom in this country to tell people what they do not want to hear; and it is only through forcing this police state reality into the public debate, will we start to see these things change.

It is high time that the dinner table conversations switch from irrelevant talking points, about sports and Miley Cyrus, to the tyrants laying waste to our rights.

The sign in the image below is but a single drop slipping through the dyke which is holding back a torrent of state violence and tyranny.

We can still stop George Orwell's analogy of the future, a boot stamping on a human face forever, we just have to start now.
