Billings, MT — As TFTP has consistently reported over the years, knowing your rights and filming police interactions is the best defense against police officers who are willing to trample your rights. We’ve reported on multiple videos in which people shut down cops who try to violate their rights. However, the video below depicts one of the most fiery rights flexers we’ve ever featured on this site.

Angela Whitehead is one strong woman who knows her rights and is not afraid of letting police—who try to violate those rights—know that will be challenged.

Whitehead proved this point over the weekend after two Billings police officers entered her home without a warrant on the basis that they heard an argument inside.

Hearing an argument is not reasonable suspicion to warrantlessly enter someone’s private property and Whitehead knew this. What’s more, Whitehead says there was no argument anyway and that she just talks loud — as you will see below.

“He can’t!” Whitehead says as the cops hold open her door, trying to look around her home with no warrant.

When Whitehead turns around and sees that she is being filmed, she is reassured and proceeds to let the cops have it.

“He can’t do that. Thank You for recording, because he can’t. You cannot come in my home,” she said.

The officer responds by saying, “we heard an argument.”

“We had an argument,” the man recording on the couch says.

Whitehead then makes sure this man practices his right to remain silent by cutting him off. She knew that she didn’t have to tell these officers anything as anything you say can and likely will be used as evidence you committed a crime—even when a crime hasn’t been committed.

“No. Because this is my home. And this is my property. And I’m telling you to leave my home,” she says.

Despite seeing that absolutely nothing illegal was taking place inside the home, the cop remained in the doorway, seemingly hoping to catch a glimpse of something he could use to justify his unlawful entry into her home.

The officers’ refusal to leave appeared to fire Whitehead up even more at which point she got in the officer’s face and demanded he leave “right now.”

“I don’t care what you got. Because if I hadn’t have just stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, this door would have been closed and your ass would have had to knock,” Whitehead yells at the officers as she tries to shut the door but can’t because the officer’s foot is blocking it.

“You got the wrong black girl on the right day,” Whitehead said as she demanded the officers leave once more.

Eventually, Whitehead’s refusal to be bullied in her own home is successful and the two would-be rights violating officers turned and walked away, with their pride likely stinging just a bit. Rights = flexed.

Whitehead’s friend posted the video to Facebook with the following description for those who were offering up their two cents:

For anyone saying she should of just shut the door please understand she tried that when she asked him to leave and said “thank you” the first time…

His foot is on the door not allowing her to shut it which escalated her emotions she felt damn near threatened so that is why she raised her voice….

Y’all can’t tell her what she should of done if you weren’t in this kind of situation and this officer walking into your home unannounced…

Might be hard for you to stay calm if anybody walked in you home unannounced and didn’t leave when you asked regardless of uniform or not!!

The video below is one awesome example of what can happen when people know their rights and refuse to have them violated.
